April is "Kids in the Garden" Month and with this week's warm weather, it's the perfect time to take your kids on a trip to the Low Line. We created a fun printable for a Low Line themed game of "I spy" to help your little ones engage with the gardens. Just print as many copies as you need, grab a handful of crayons, and head down to the gardens. And once your sheet is colored in, we'd love to see a photo of it! Feel free to send us a photo, or post it on your page and tag us. Find the print out from the link in our bio. 👆

It’s no secret that we love perennial plants… You plant them once and they come back year after year. And daffodils? We look forward to them every year because they’re a sure sign that spring is around the corner. Take yourself on a daffodil tour along the Low Line, there are plenty of varieties spread throughout the gardens. 🤩

We’re proud to share that we’ve received a Nat

We’re proud to share that we’ve received a National Neighborhood Promise grant from the Republic Services Charitable Foundation to complete a project in Richmond’s northside at Hotchkiss Field Community Center. Our project will transform 1.88 underused acres of turf into an inviting urban landscape that includes walking trails, seating areas, lights, shade trees, a pollinator garden, and native shrubs and perennials. The greenspace will help cool temperatures in the community and offset the urban heat island effect, promote community health, and provide food and habitats for wildlife. We are thrilled to receive this grant and look forward to starting this project in partnership with @republic_services. #NeighborhoodPromise #CapitalTrees
