We know that locals love the work that we’ve done on the Low Line along Virginia Capital Trail. That’s why many of the people who visit the Low Line do so multiple times per week, and season after season.
We recently got the opportunity to show Mayor Levar Stoney some of our contributions to the Richmond community, and we jumped at the chance!
We scheduled the tour for Earth Day and Mother Nature had our back. It was a beautiful day for a tour with lovely spring weather, and with the foliage waking up for the season, there was plenty to see!
We showed the Mayor and his team what the Low Line is all about. We explained the work that Capital Trees does in the City of Richmond, our mission and goals, and even shared with him our vision for Phase II: The Low Line Green.
We know that there’s something special about actually getting your hands dirty to improve our public’s green space, and are thrilled that Mayor Stoney felt the same way. While he was there, Mayor Stoney added a native Inkberry to the landscaping.
We were so honored to show our city’s mayor the impact that we’ve made on the Low Line first hand – photos just don’t do the project justice!
We are excited to work hand in hand with the City to continue to make a difference for years to come.
We rely on the generous support of our community as we undertake additional projects in and around Richmond.
We’d love to connect!
