One of our longtime volunteers, Jerry, has generously donated his time to maintaining a mason bee box at Great Shiplock Park. Hear from him a little bit about the process!

Mason bees are one of the earliest bees to begin work in the spring and are very effective pollinators. Many thanks to Jerry for all he does for Capital Trees, including insuring we have plenty of mason bees in our greenspaces! Beneficial insects, including pollinators, are just one of the reasons why it's so important that we maintain our gardens sustainably. 🌎🌱🐝
