After three years of study and collaboration, a coalition of community organizations with the support of Richmond’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities submitted a resolution to City Council to support the designation of Richmond as a Bee City USA Affiliate. Throughout the summer, Capital Trees has continued its work of building a greener and more livable Richmond in our three program areas: BUILD, MANAGE, & EDUCATE. Our summer saw the development of additional projects including advising a neighborhood association and an upcoming tree planting event.
