A stretch of the Virginia Capital Trail near Richmond’s Tobacco Row is about to get a whole lot greener.
The Richmond Planning Commission signed off Monday on an extensive landscaping project between Dock Street and the James River and Kanawha Canal. The effort is intended to help “activate the canal by drawing people to the water’s edge,” according to a staff report.
